Few places on earth have the unique insurance needs of Hawaii, where regular appearances by hurricanes, earthquakes, landslides, tsunamis and volcanic eruptions add to the usual headaches suffered by actuaries. By wisely specializing in insurance for these unusual needs, Triad recently came to dominate the Hawaii insurance market, brokering most of the state's property and casualty insurance, but no one outside a small circle of insurance insiders knew this. Our challenge was to firmly establish Triad as the embodiment of Hawaii insurance among prospective local clients as well as overseas underwriters. This sales book did the trick nicely, using photos of the staff surrounded by Hawaiian icons such as koa surfboards, tropical flowers, volcanoes and leis. Copy is friendly and conversational, "talking story" about Hawaii's special character, and its special risks.
